2024-25 November-to-May Comprehensive Prep Course
(November 3, 2024 - April 27, 2025)
This course begins on November 3 and prepares for the April 5, 2025 ACT and the May 3, 2025 SAT; students can also elect to and are encouraged to take additional tests along the way (such as the February ACT exam and the March SAT exam). Except on holiday breaks, classes meet once a week on Sundays from 11:30 am - 3:00 pm. Students can attend in person or remotely via Zoom. Since Higher Standards records every class session, students who need to miss classes along the way can arrange to view the class recordings on YouTube for an additional $10 per class.

2024 Summer-to-Fall Comprehensive Prep Course
(July 14 - October 20, 2024)
This course began on Sunday, July 14 and prepares for the October SAT, ACT and PSAT exams; students may also elect and are encouraged to take additional tests along the way (such as the August SAT and September ACT exams). During the summer weeks, classes meet on Wednesdays and Sundays from 11:30 am - 3:00 pm...once the school year begins, classes meet on Sundays only. Students can attend in person or remotely via Zoom. Since Higher Standards records every class session, students who need to miss classes along the way can arrange to view the class recordings on YouTube for an additional $10 per class.
Over half the sessions for this course have already met, so enrollment is now closed except for students (such as homeschooled students) who have enough time to catch up on the classes they have missed. To get training in the 2024-25 school year, we recommend our November-to-May course instead. Note that our 2025 version of this course is expected to have a very similar schedule as did our 2024 rendition.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Since our courses sometimes reach their enrollment limits well in advance of their starting dates, we strongly recommend reserving your seats as early as possible. We accept $50 non-refundable deposits in order to secure a space in any of our programs...spaces are not secured until the deposit has been sent. Deposits will be applied toward the course tuition.
There are three steps for registration:
(1) Send an email to [email protected] with the following information:
a) Student's name
b) Parents' names
c) Student's email addresses
d) Parent's email addresses
e) Student's phone numbers
f) Parents' phone numbers
g) Primary home mailing address
h) Student's school name
i) Student's grade level for the 2024-2025 school year
j) Do you plan to attend in-person or remotely through Zoom?
k) Are you seeking enrollment in the 2024-25 November-to-April course, the 2024 Summer-to-Fall course, or something else?
l) How did you hear of Higher Standards?
(2) Send in either your full tuition payment ($1495) or a non-refundable tuition deposit ($50, which will be credited toward the tuition). If you send a deposit, the balance of the tuition (which would then be $1445) will be due by two weeks before the course begins. If you are enrolling after October 20, please remit the full tuition at the time of enrollment. If you have questions regarding payment, give us a call or send us a text at 305-969-2012...make sure to leave a message if you get the voice mail.
If you are an out-of-town student who will be attending through Zoom or if you will be attending remotely for your first class, you will need to arrange to receive the course manual prior to the date of the first session. We can either arrange for you to come to our home office in Kendall to pick up the manual or we can arrange to ship the manual to you. Note that there is a $20 additional charge to cover the cost of shipping the manual and it may take at least 4 business days to arrive, so plan accordingly. We can also arrange expedited shipping; cost will be determined based on shipping costs.
Our preferred method of payment is Zelle, but there are a few options:
a) Zelle. This is our preferred method of payment. Using your Zelle or bank's app, simply send the payment to Michele Rothkopf at the email address [email protected] or through our Zelle-only phone number, 305-790-1239. Note that this is NOT the phone number to call to reach Higher Standards.
b) Check, cash or money order. This can either be dropped off in person or sent to us through the United States Postal Service. Send us an email at [email protected] if you'd like our mailing address.
c) We can also accept payments through Venmo or PayPal for an additional $45 fee...payments through either of these methods would be sent to [email protected].
(3) Please forward copies of all previous PSAT, PreACT, SAT and ACT exams the student has taken, so we have the most complete picture of your scoring history. If you have never taken any of these tests, let us know that, too (but do check with your school to be certain...you'd be surprised how often students HAVE taken at least a previous PSAT but they and their parents do not remember it!).

We will contact you within two days of your enrollment
to confirm receipt of your deposit and to gather
any additional information we may need.

will need to arrange to pick up their course manual
or to have us ship it to them for an additional $20.
A few weeks before the course begins -- or within two days of receiving your course payment (if within two weeks of the start date) -- you will receive a set of around 10 e-mails providing a lot of information (regarding course schedules, makeup videos, directions to the course location, extended time testing, test registration, payment and more). Since we communicate mainly via e-mail, make sure that your e-mail account is set to receive [email protected] as a friendly e-mail address.

Our Guarantee: After completing one of our Comprehensive Prep Courses, if by the end of that school year you have achieved neither a 100-point SAT-score increase nor a 2-point ACT-score increase (compared to PSAT, SAT and ACT scores you had prior to attending any Higher Standards class or workshop), you can retake the Comprehensive Prep Course for only $50! If you HAVE achieved one of those increases, you can still retake the Comprehensive Prep Course for half-tuition!
